Position Summary (A Day in the Life)
Parker Plastics is seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Supervisor to join our team. This individual will play a key role in supporting our company’s mission by strengthening and driving the success of our quality program. The Quality Supervisor will oversee a team of six, with responsibilities including the execution of quality programs, inspections, audits, and general departmental support. This role will be directly involved in root cause analysis and the development and implementation of corrective actions to address quality issues. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager and requires strong analytical skills, the ability to synthesize data, and a hands-on leadership style. This is also a customer-facing role, so strong communication and follow-through are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a strong quality team; identify areas for improvement
  • Train technicians on continuous improvement and quality standards
  • Analyze and synthesize quality data into action
  • Collaborate with plant management to meet internal and customer-driven quality goals
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Maintain proper function of measuring equipment and ensure product meets release criteria
  • Prepare and present monthly statistical defect analysis reports
  • Maintain thorough documentation to support audits and compliance
  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines without compromising quality
  • Proactively support cross-shift operations to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent output
  • Remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations, maintaining focus on quality and team performance
  • Perform additional duties as needed

Experience / Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant experience in packaging or related manufacturing
  • Experience with SQF / Food Safety Programs required
  • Strong in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, 10 lbs constantly
  • Must be able to lift 30–35 lbs above the head frequently, and 35–45 lbs occasionally
